CONTRACT FOR NEW STUDENTS
TERMS and CONDITIONS
- You can choose to pay by the term, by the month, or by the week for your tuition services (however you must always be paid up at least one week in advance to reserve a regular time). See item 3.
- Payments can be made by Cash, EFT, Personal / Bank Cheque, or Paypal (NB: Paypal is only available if you are paying by the term). Receipts will be given for every payment; and full A4 Invoices and reconciliations are available upon request.
- Once you decide to become a permanent student with a reserved weekly time slot, kindly return this signed contract and ensure payments are at least one week ahead. In this way, your weekly time will not be available to other students, booking in person or online. You commit to attend each school week of the year. Permanent students take priority. If you choose to attend regularly, but not pay ahead; please be aware that you’re technically classified as a casual student. Your time is available to those seeking a permanent weekly time slot.
- If you need to cancel a session for any reason, I ask that you please give me notice at least before 4:30pm on the previous day. This allows me to cancel childcare arrangements and not be charged. Where notice is given, I will transfer the pre-payment to the following session. However, where notice is given too late for me to cancel my arrangements, I will invoice for costs incurred. I will not invoice for my time as I understand we all get sick or have last minute events pop up. Permanent students do commit to attendance through the school calender where possible.
- If you are a continuing student at the end of a term or year and wish to reserve your session time for when you return, you need to: kindly pay for at least the first week of the following term. This is to be done in the final week of the previous/current term. Otherwise, your regular time may not be available the following term.
- Casual tuition is also available - where students simply text / email and ask what’s available in any given week. In this way we make a one-off arrangement; and these sessions are paid for on the day of the session.
- Students are asked to kindly bring their work materials with them to each and every session. This includes paper, pens, textbooks, texts, workbooks, calculator, ipads / laptops etc… I also ask students to come prepared with the maths, Science or English work they’d like to focus on for that week. Please remember that I have no qualifications or experience tutoring in PDHPE, Religion, Geography, Visual Arts, languages etc (with these subjects all I can do is aid literacy).
- Finally, this is my livelihood, and as such, I guarantee to make it a priority above all other commitments. I will be there each and every week, on time, unless an honest emergency occurs – in which case I will transfer the prepayments to the following week and notify you ASAP before the session.
