Master Tuition Centre (Campbelltown, nsw)

Master Tuition Centre has been founded upon the belief that students sometimes need more than what the traditional school system can provide. Many students can get lost in a full classroom, and feel uncomfortable asking questions in a group setting. Sometimes new concepts are explained in ways that only certain students in the room instantly understand. Many students need things explained in another way that is more accessible to them personally. As Individuals, we all learn in different ways.
Master Tuition Centre has been in operation since 2008. It was founded by a then University student (me), who was looking for a job that had flexible hours; and would fit around my study and children. Today Master Tuition Centre is a small business offering one-to-one tuition services to primary and high school students; in the Macarthur Region. Additionally we offer assistance to adults - both studying and not studying.
Tuition is offered in all Mathematics, Science and English units studied at school. Help is also offered preparing for the NAPLAN tests in years 3, 5, 7 and 9. General help with numeracy and literacy is always available; as is help with time management and study skills. I can also help primary school students prepare for the Selective High School Tests (held in March each year); as I attended Sydney Girls High School myself. There are also opportunity Class tests students would like some help preparing for as well as ACER Numeracy and Literacy tests for teachers. We can help with all of this.
However, there are a limited number of weekly tuition spots available, as students are seen individually. Tutors hold relevant undergraduate and/or postgraduate degrees; current Working With Children Checks (WWCCs); Criminal Record Checks and years of experience. All work is invoiced under the business ABN, so that parents may claim for educational expenses. We operate out of public spaces with CCTV - HJ Daley Library (Campbelltown Library) and Casula Library. We work Monday to Friday 3:30pm - 8:00pm and on Saturday 10am - 4pm. We approach every student as an individual with specific learning requirements; and therefore each student receives a personalised approach.
Siblings or groups can choose to be tutored together. However, I only recommend this for groups who work well in each other's presence. The financial benefits must be weighed against the best environment for optimum results. Cost wise, being tutored together reduces each students' payment rate by 25%. For example if two siblings, who were in year 4 and 7 chose to be tutored together, the hourly rate would be 25% less than their individual fees ($75.00 versus $100.00).
I also work for the Ronald McDonald Learning Program, as a tutor for students suffering and /or recovering from illness that has affected/affects their studies. In the past, I have worked as a Casual Academic at Western Sydney University, tutoring in Physiology, Human Anatomy and Physiology 2 and Cell Biology. I have a passion for lifelong learning and hold a Bachelor's degree in Biomolecular Science; a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honors and a Masters of Teaching(Secondary). I am currently working towards a MBA (slowly!) at Deakin University.

Master Tuition Centre (Macarthur) Mission Statement
To challenge the High School students of the Macarthur Region to work to their full potential, and be creative problem solvers. One thing I have seen happen over and over in my life is people who work the hardest and refuse to give up, achieve incredible things. On the other hand, I have also witnessed many of the most gifted and/or talented people fail to reach their goals; due to a lack of perseverance and dedication. "Hard work beats talent; when talent doesn't work hard". The earlier each person can learn a strong work ethic and self belief, the easier success will come to them. Individual school subjects are simply there to help young people learn how to learn. At Master Tuition Centre, we welcome individualism, celebrate diversity, applaud effort and have a real soft spot for a bit of humour!
